Introduction


Tytti Heikkilä (b. 1980) is a painter living and working in Helsinki, Finland. She graduated from The Free Art School (Vapaa Taidekoulu) in 2019 and is currently an MFA student at The Academy of Fine Arts (Kuvataideakatemia). She has held several exhibitions, and her works are included in private collections as well as in Sokos Hotels’ and The Finnish National Gallery’s collections. She is a full member of The Finnish Painters’ Union and The Helsinki Artists’ Association.

Through her vibrant oil paintings, Heikkilä explores natural landscapes as dynamic, emotionally charged spaces. She focuses on composition, spatiality, and interaction of colors, and incorporates figures into her work, adding layers of personal and cultural significance to the natural setting. Her work also explores themes of secular and sacred, often featuring religious imagery combined with nature. Her paintings create spaces that blend memories, impressions, and imagination, portraying nature with warmth and admiration.
